Forklifts / Forkhoists >> Shockswitch™

SC1000 series
A forklift safety alarm and damage control monitor designed to reduce forklift maintenance costs, improve driving habits, and enhance OSH safety standardsRecording.

The Shockswitch is an impact detector that mounts on almost any material handling vehicle.  If the vehicle is bumped beyond the impact level you select, the Shockswitch will sound an alarm to alert a supervisor an incident has occurred.

The Shockswitch is a major step towards controlling infrastructure, forklift and product damage at your facilities.  As an integral component to any quality/safety program, the Shockswitch has been installed on thousands of lift trucks to stop careless operators, and create a safer, more productive work environment, all of which result in a reduction in employer liability.

Customers have experienced incident reductions by as much as 90%, and a reduction in impact related repairs by 50% or more.  Investment return is attainable within the first year.

SHOCKSWITCH BENEFITS AND FEATURES
The complete Shockswitch program is designed to aid managers in:

• Reducing forklift maintenance costs
• Improving driving habits
• Reducing rack and product damage
• Enhancing OSH safety standards
• Providing ongoing driver training
• Creating a safer, more productive work environment

All Shockswitch units include a 103dB internal audible alarm, a test button for a quick check of operational status, and a tamper proof barrel lock that enables and resets the unit.  The sensitivity is adjusted simply by turning the internal sensor dial.
PATENTED SENSOR TECHNOLOGY
The patented adjustable sensor uses magnetic technology that will trigger the alarm only upon impact above a selected G level.  Each unit has two sensors mounted on different planes.  With each sensor having a 360 degree plane of sensitivity, this allows for either horizontal or vertical mounting.

The sensors are available in 4 ranges:

 M Sensor .3 to 2 G
 A Sensor .5 to 3 G
 B Sensor 1 to 7 G
 C Sensor 3 to 15 G

Increase or decrease the sensitivity simply by turning the sensor dial to the desired setting.

MANAGING THE SHOCKSWITCH PROGRAM
As we are aware that no two companies are exactly alike in management style, our seasoned representatives can guide you in developing a program that best fits your needs.

The Shockswitch program has been designed to blend easily into a Total Quality Management and Safety Program.  Depending on your particular management style, companies institute levels of disciplinary action into their own programs that are consistent with OSH standards and requirements.

SHOCKSWITCH OPTIONS
Although the SC1000 was designed to be totally self contained, a full range of options are available to allow maximum flexibility.  Some of the options include using the lift battery as the power source, the lift horn as the alarm, and/or a separate control panel for mounting the units within a lift.
SC1000 – Self contained – internal audible alarm, internal battery no external wiring.

SC1010, 1040, 1060 – Can be operationally wired into the lift power, horn switch, or lift battery.

SC1080 – Uses a remote panel for mounting within vehicle. Connects to horn and lift battery
