Mag 2000 Impact Sensor
Reliable, low-cost impact monitoring for large shipments and vehicles
The ShockWatch® MAG 2000 is a tamperproof, resettable impact indicator designed to detect excessive shock to larger, high-value items such as crated machinery, production equipment, printing presses, electronics, x-ray machines, and even shipping containers, rail cars, and trucks.
Also used on carts and equipment moving through manufacturing, the MAG 2000 delivers a new level of control in today’s challenging transport environments — helping businesses reduce damage, track accountability, and enhance quality assurance from your warehouse to your customer’s dock.
How the MAG 2000 Works
At its core, the MAG 2000 uses two highly sensitive magnets. When a shock or vibration strong enough to break the magnetic attraction occurs, the upper magnet shifts from its home position to a visible new location, indicating both the presence and angle of impact.
Factory-set sensitivity is available from 0.5 to 25G, with selection guides available to correlate G-force with drop heights.
A unique reset key is provided to unlock the unit, reposition the magnet, and resecure the cover — ensuring the unit is tamperproof and reusable.
The unit’s rugged, patented design allows it to withstand extreme conditions in both internal and external installations.
Real-World Applications
Thousands of companies worldwide rely on the MAG 2000 to:
Monitor shipments – Detect mishandling in real time and enforce zero-defect shipping
Analyse transportation – Identify impact hotspots in humping yards, loading docks, and across specific routes
Improve packaging – Evaluate protective materials without costly lab testing
Protect products – Prevent warranty abuse by pinpointing the time and location of damage
Built for Harsh Conditions
The MAG 2000 is durable enough for internal or external use — whether applied to wooden crates, pallets, or directly onto products. Its rugged design makes it ideal for monitoring impacts on rail, road, sea, or air.
In complex transport networks where goods change hands multiple times, the MAG 2000 provides a reliable way to enforce proper handling, reduce damage rates, and hold carriers accountable.
